PRIVACY

On the nature of data, tracking, and trust in a stateless cinema.


§1 PREAMBLE

ZENFLIX is a cinema interface. It does not host content, store viewing history, or track user behavior beyond what is strictly necessary for authentication. We do not sell data. We do not build shadow profiles. We believe that what you watch is your business.

§2 AUTHENTICATION

Authentication is handled exclusively through Google OAuth. We receive your email address and public profile information solely to maintain your session, watchlist, and reviews. These are stored in a Supabase database and are never shared with third parties.

§3 DATA COLLECTED

The following data points are collected during normal operation:

  • Email address (via Google OAuth)
  • Public display name and avatar
  • Watchlist entries and review content you explicitly create
  • Anonymous, aggregated page view counts for editorial curation

We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not fingerprint your browser. We do not run analytics scripts from surveillance-capitalism vendors.

§4 THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

ZENFLIX embeds video streams from third-party providers. These providers may set cookies or serve advertisements within their embedded frames. ZENFLIX has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party video servers. We strongly recommend the use of an ad blocker, see our setup guide.

§5 YOUR RIGHTS

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Contact us via the channels listed on the Contact page. Deletion requests are fulfilled within 72 hours.
